PROGRAMA 2 – 74 MIN

1. Más mañana que otra vez – 20 minutos

Sinopsis:

Es la historia de resiliencia de una madre y su hijo, viviendo cada uno con un padecimiento crónico degenerativo, y de cómo se reconcilian entre ellos cuando aceptan que su enfermedad los ha unido y transformado para siempre.

Synopsis:

«More Tomorrow Than Before» is the story of how a mother and her child redeem each other, when they accept that their illnesses have transformed them forever.por 

2.Por Magda – 15 minutos

Sinopsis:

Josefina y su hija Magda se refugian en las montañas andinas para buscar la forma de asegurarse un futuro libre, pese a que esa decisión las puede llevar a prisión.

Synopsis:

Josefina and her daughter Magda take refuge in the Andean mountains to find a way to ensure a free future, despite the fact that this decision could land them in prison.

3.JA (AGUA) – 14 minutos

Sinopsis:

Tosi (Naomi León), niña nativa de una comunidad indígena de Baja California, motivada por la delicada condición de su abuela (Inocencia Sáenz) y molesta por la apatía de su hermano (Ratkley López) y los demás miembros de la comunidad, busca hacer la diferencia en un momento donde la oscuridad lo ha consumido todo.

Synopsis:

Tosi (Naomi León), a native girl from an indigenous community in Baja California, motivated by her grandmother’s (Inocencia Sáenz) delicate condition and annoyed by the apathy of her brother (Ratkley López) and the other members of the community, seeks to do the difference in a moment where darkness has consumed everything.

4.Y entonces llegaron ellas – 13 minutos

Sinopsis:

Nadia, una mamá y sus dos hijos: Valeria y Julián, ambos adolescentes, conforman una familia sencilla y unida. Los vemos en su cotidianidad: compartiendo comidas, haciendo tareas y hasta bailando.

Hasta que una noche Julián, ya no puede más y le abre los ojos a su mamá suplicándole que termine con su insana fantasía. Valeria ya no está con ellos desde dos meses. Fue víctima de un feminicidio. Aquella noche que salió ya nunca más regresó.

“No digo que no te duela mamá, yo sé que duele mucho todos los días, sólo digo que hagas algo diferente con tu dolor”, le dice Julián a su mamá.

Y a partir de ese momento, Nadia ya no podrá escapar de su realidad. Su hija se ha ido, su habitación está vacía y la mesa de comedor ya no tiene tres lugares, sino sólo dos. Y así es como llegamos a la última escena de este relato: Nadia decide hacer algo con su dolor y se une a las “Las Vigilantas”.

Las Vigilantas son un grupo de mujeres organizadas que cuidan de mujeres que andan solas por las calles y que además, luchan desde el anonimato para encontrar y entregar a la justicia a agresores y feminicidas.

 

Synopsis:

Nadia is the mother of Valeria and Julian, both teenagers, they are a simple and united family. We see them in their daily lives: sharing meals, doing homework and even dancing.

Until one night Julian can’t take it anymore and brings his mother back to reality, begging her to end her insane fantasy. Valeria hasn’t been with them for two months. She was the victim of a femicide. The night she went out, she never came back.

«I’m not saying that it doesn’t hurt, mom, I know it hurts, a lot, every day, I’m just saying that you do something different with your pain,» Julian tells his mom.

And from that moment on, Nadia will no longer be able to escape her reality. Her daughter is gone, her room is empty, and the dining table no longer has three places, but only two. And this is how we get to the last scene of this story: Nadia decides to do something with her pain and joins the “Las Vigilantas” (The vigilants).

“Las Vigilantas” are a group of organized women who take care of women who walk alone on the streets and who also fight from anonymity to find and bring to justice aggressors and femicides.

5.Ember – 19 minutos

Sinopsis:

Una familia en duelo esta en desacuerdo cuando una joven traumaKzada llega a sus vidas afirmando ser la hija que les fue arrebatada una década antes.

A grieving family is at odds when a traumaKzed young woman comes into their lives claiming to be the daughter that was taken from them a decade earlier.
